Many Canadian job seekers are only too aware that there is no easy trick to effective resume writing. Effective resume writing takes patience, research and attention to detail. Good language skills are also important to ensure proper grammar, sentence structure and spelling to ensure an error free resume.
Most Canadian job seekers do not have the energy or the patience to sit and write their resume, the most important job document in their job search. When writing their resume, most people usually focus on the information that is important to them; rather that writing about what is important to the potential employer. Job seekers spend a lot of time describing their job responsibilities when writing their resumes, sometimes using jargon and terminology specific to their industries. Unfortunately this approach serves to weaken their ability to convey how their transferrable skills relates to the jobs or careers they are targeting.
Writing A Great Resume That Maximizes Your Job Search Success
The first step in writing your resume is to conduct a thorough personal skills assessment to identify the core competences that you have developed through your working experiences and academic studies. The next step in effective resume writing is to describe those skills using keywords that the employers will understand so no jargon and are relevant to the job you are targeting.
To ensure maximum job search success, you must first develop an understanding of how to identify the skills an employer wants. To do that, you must first review the job description carefully. Most job descriptions are written with the most important qualifications and job responsibilities listed from most to least important. So you must review the posted job descriptions starting with the skills listed at the top to identify the skills that are most important to an employer and incorporate the ones you have into your resume and cover letter.

Husband to quit his job..what should i do?
After suffering horrendous work colleagues, mu husband is resigning on Monday. I am so worried that he won't get a job right now (in these conditions). He is very good at what he does but he has applied to so many jobs in the past and got no reply..his current clients (that he is close to) have said they will try and find him a job.
My husband always goes to my sis-in-law for advice etc and she is saying he can get a brilliant job, and everyone else is saying that to him as well. He has got a lot of confidence in himself and I am worried he will become egotistic and forget that it's actually hard getting any good job right now. Everyone in his family are always like 'your the best', 'you'll get a wicked job' etc etc
But reality that I can see is that he is going to struggle finding something..it annoys me that they all big him up all the time but don't actually support him when he goes through everything.
We had goals set to save money and buy a house by end of the year. We can't even save properly on one salary and on top of that, as we live with in-laws, we have to pay rent…
How am I ever going to get my space and get a house…
I'm so fedup of them keeping a hold on him, spurring him on and giving him confidence when really, they want him to stay with them all the time!
What can i do? Shall I talk to him about this?
